We’re Blogging Now! - Mansfield's Local Voices
L to R: Abbey Lewis, Texas Trust Credit Union President Jim Minge, Mary Phillips, Kristen Lamb
In our last issue of Mansfield Magazine we announced our new “Local Voices” blogging contest presented by Texas Trust Credit Union - Mansfield, TX. As you may recall, we were looking for bloggers who could capture in writing much of what makes the community of Mansfield/South Arlington so great.
The response was tremendous and we have hand-picked a few of our readers who will now share their own perspectives as they keep tabs on all things Mansfield. Best of all, you can follow it word for word on our new www.mansfieldmagazine.com website.
You may have already read some of what our new contributors have published including:
- Prep Your Heart to be Thankful by Abbey
- Strange Addictions & Habits--Admit It, You're Weird by Kirsten
- Make Your Own Lavender Bath Salts by Mary
The overall idea here is that this unique group of bloggers will regularly write about things in the community – things we hope you will want to know about. Heck, hopefully some of you will be as passionate about what’s being written as those who are writing. And really, this is where it all comes together. This is where the online community begins.
We want our readers to be engaged, read the regular blogs, comment on them, share your own stories. Think of it as an electronic extension of the great sense of community we all have here in Mansfield. So log on and plug in!
Congratulations to each of the bloggers who were chosen. Each of them exhibited the kind of passion and writing skills that are sure to make them an online “hit” with our readers. Of course we couldn’t have done any of this without the financial support of our sponsor Texas Trust Credit Union. Hats off to them for the vision and support of our new Local Voices Bloggers. Our bloggers give everyone a chance to have a voice. Let’s hear yours at MansfieldMagazine.com.
