Mansfield high school students will be part of the One Million Brighter celebration this Thursday, December 3, at UTA. The festivities are centered around the one millionth dollar Texas Trust Credit Union has donated to four area school districts through its special debit card rewards program. Mansfield high schools have received more than $312,000 from the program as of the end of October.
Texas Trust is celebrating in a big way to recognize this major milestone of giving, which it reached just a few days ago. More than 3,000 Spirit Card fans are expected to attend. Students from Mansfield high schools will participate in an array of activities at the event. For instance, 17 seniors from the Timberview High School choir will sing the national anthem to start the event and the UTA vs. UNT men's basketball game.
Students and parents can attend the event by buying a discounted ticket from their high school. Ticket sales will all be donated back to the school district. The One Million Brighter celebration will be at UTA's College Park Center at 600 S. Center St. in Arlington. The pre-event activities start at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact DKnoblock@texastrustcu.org.
