Mansfield ISD Multicultural Festival Returns After Last Year's Cancelation
MISD Multi-cultural Festival 2013.
After last year's cancelation due to snowy weather conditions, the Mansfield ISD Multicultural Festival returns on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016. This will be the third year the district holds the festival. Below is more information from the district, followed by the stories about last year's festival and its eventual cancelation.
Did you know Mansfield ISD has more than 33,000 students, and there are more than 110 languages spoken? We may not all come from the same country, or even the same city, but we are all MISD!
The MISD Multicultural Festival is the district's way of embracing the many cultures represented in the community of Mansfield ISD. On Saturday, Feb. 27, The Center for the Performing Arts will be transformed into a festival of food tastings and cultural performances by our very own students.
The halls will be filled with family activities, such as henna tattoos, Chinese lanterns, Creole masks, origami, historical wax museum figures, and games from every continent…and it is ALL FREE!
For more information about our Multicultural Festival, contact The Center at 817-299-1230.
