Welcome to Mansfield Magazine

IT'S TIME TO CELEBRATE!

Mansfield Magazine is one year old! It was a year ago in November that we published our first issue, the Holiday Gift Guide Issue. Since that time we've met some of the most wonderful people who have helped us to shape Mansfield Magazine into what has become the must-read publication in Mansfield, South Arlington and Kennedale. We even have subscribers from as far away as San Francisco.

As we move into our second year we will continue to listen to you and provide you with the type of articles and information you want to read about. In fact, this November/December Issue launches the first of our "Your Neighbor" Profile Series. You can read all about Zeno Pfau and his interesting occupation- before his retirement, that is.

Do you know someone who lives in the area and has a unique story to tell? And, we mean really unique. Perhaps you have a neighbor with an unusual hobby or occupation or "claim to fame". Give us a call or send us an email and we'll check it out.

This issue also includes the highly-anticipated Gift Guide Section. Search through the guide for gifts ideas from area retailers for all those special people on your list.

And don't forget our Local Flavor column profiling Joe's Family Restaurant in Mansfield. Great food, friends and PIES........yes, pies. They make some of the most scrumptious pies in town. Put in your orders now for fresh pies at your holiday gatherings.

These articles and more are available in your November/December Holiday Gift Guide Issue. The staff of Mansfield Magazine wishes each of you a happy holiday season and thanks for making this first year so memorable!

Keeping you connected,

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

By Sandy Redd

“While juggling hectic schedules, some may question whether it is worth the time and energy to create or maintain family hoiday traditions. Most of us, however, hold fiercely to themand with good reason. The power of lingering childhood memories, along with smiling recollections of more recent events, tell us that family holiday rituals add meaning and strengthen relationships.

Get input from family members before and after introducing a potential holiday tradition or repeating an event that naturally occurred. We've all received a gift that we didn't want, but the giver wanted us to have it. Don't let our holiday traditions fall into that same trap.
