Holiday Cheer

Nov 15, 2013 05:28PM ● Published by Lisa Drake

The holiday season is here. But you’ve known that ever since boxes of Christmas lights began
appearing on the shelves at Walmart nearly two months ago. Nevertheless, it’s a wonderful time of year and it always makes for a fun issue of Mansfield Magazine. You’ll find all our regular interviews with people in our community and discover all sorts of holiday fare for this time of year.

In the spirit of thanksgiving, we thought it fitting to pay a visit to Greg Debrew, head of the local food bank, Harvesting International Ministry. I think you’ll be blessed reading about his story and the organization.
Also in this special holiday issue, check out Carol Ritchie’s bonanza of cranberry recipes – from sauces to spreads and relish to chutney. Great seasonal recipes in this issue’s Cookin’ with Carol.
In Homestyle you’ll discover some great ideas for creating holiday memories and traditions in your family.
And don't miss out on the DIY decorative angel craft project from Mary Phillips. She shows us how to create three different angels using everyday household items. As an added bonus, Mary shares ideas on sprucing up your holiday decor with simple, yet elegant displays and centerpieces using cranberries.
As if that weren't enough to get you into the spirit of the season - try your hand at baking some delicious Citrus Pound Cake with Cranberry Sauce to share with family and friends.

All the other great departments, stories and information are here again for you to enjoy. We are thoroughly excited to put together this magazine each and every issue.

We all wish you and your family all the best this holiday season.
