Texas State Historical Association Asks, "Are You Smarter than a Texas 7th Grader?"

Texas State Historical Association is Running It's Annual Membership Drive

The Texas State Historical Association is running it's annual membership drive and we thought our readers would be interested in learning about how they support education in Texas.

The TSHA started sponsoring the annual Texas Quiz Show in 2006. It's a statewide competition that challenges 4th through 8th graders on their knowledge of Texas history. 

This year they launched the online game “Are You Smarter than a Texas 7th Grader?” Modeled after the Texas Quiz Show, this online quiz captures the attention of Texas aficionados the world over. Since its launch in March 2014, the “Are You Smarter than a Texas 7th Grader?” online quiz has had tremendous engagement and fascinating fun-filled results:
  • More than 215,861 unique visitors have participated in the quiz.
  • The quiz has attracted visitors from 185 different countries.
  • An average of 1,000 visitors continue to take the quiz every day.
The “Are You Smarter than a Texas 7th Grader?” quiz is just one of the many ways that TSHA engages the public and passes on our passion for Texas history. Take the quiz here...
