Football season is in full swing and the weather has cooled off. We’ve prepared another fall-themed issue of Mansfield Magazine. With Halloween just weeks away we asked Carol Ritchie to give us some great ideas for the kitchen that will scare up interest in both cooks and those who love treats. We’ve got some great ideas for everything from Halloween Treats to Make for Ghosts & Goblins to a perfectly ghoulish "ghoulash".
We’ve also got a great Kidding Around feature this issue. Logan Myers is a Mansfield 9-year-old who aspires to play baseball in the majors some day. Just this last summer he was selected to the United States Specialty Sports Association All-Star Team and traveled all the way to Florida for a tournament.
Our Community Profile brought us in contact with Sgt. Stan Davis of the Mansfield Police Department. He’s the commander of the Tri-County Burglary & Theft Prevention Task Force and has been working to reduce vehicle theft numbers in the area. It’s people like Sgt. Davis that help make Mansfield such a great community.
We can’t let an issue of the magazine go by without telling you about another great area restaurant and this time is no exception. If you’ve got a big appetite then Chamas do Brazil in South Arlington is just for you.
And with the cooler temperatures, the outdoors is a perfect place to get some much-needed exercise and enjoy family activities. Methodist Mansfield Medical Center offers us some great advice on creative and Simple Ideas to Encourage Your Children to Exercise.
Browse around for articles and information on everything you need to know about the local community and let us know what you’d like to see more of!
