Summit Sophomore Explosive in Win Over Seguin

Mansfield High School
The Tigers had the week off and will face South Grand Prairie High School at home on Oct. 24.

Mansfield Legacy High School
The Broncos were defeated by Lancaster Friday, 55-40, falling below .500 at 3-4. Legacy's district record is 1-3. They take on Lake Ridge on Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Mansfield Timberview High School
The Wolves pulled off another win, 57-27, over Waxahachie on Friday night. Timberview's season record is now 6-1. They remain undefeated in district play at 4-0. Up next is Red Oak at 7 p.m. on Thursday night.

Mansfield Summit High School
Summit picked up another win on Friday night over Seguin, 36-14. Sophomore Derek Johnson picked up 172 yards on the ground for four touchdowns. Burrell Taylor also scored a touchdown on the ground, carrying for 24 yards. He completed all three of his passes for 40 yards. The Jaguars are now 5-2 overall and 4-0 in the district. They face Lancaster on the road on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Mansfield Lake Ridge High School
The Eagles took down Red Oak on Friday night, 51-14, boosting their record over .500 at 4-3. Lake Ridge is now 2-2 in district play. They host Mansfield Legacy next.
