Carter Scores 4 in Eagle Victory, Soars to Postseason

Mansfield area schools went 4-1 in week 11 action. Click the name of the school below to view more sports and scores.

Mansfield High School
The Tigers mauled Midlothian on Friday night, scoring 20 points right out of the gate on to a 62-37 victory. Saiid Adebo scored twice on 40- and 78-yard receptions. Emmanuel Esukpa ran the ball into the endzone twice on 1- and 7-yard carries. Kennedy Brooks also scored twice on 23- and 19-yard rushes. Mansfield will face nationally ranked Southlake Carroll on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. on the road. Their record stands at 7-3. They are 4-2 in district play.

Mansfield Legacy High School
The Broncos edged Red Oak on Friday night, 33-30. They are 4-6 overall with a 2-5 district record.

Mansfield Timberview High School
The Wolves defeated Summit, 48-31, Friday night. Despite a 4-point first-half deficit, they were able to outscore the opponent 28-7 in the second half. Timberview is 9-1 on the season, and remains undefeated in district action at 7-0. They face Seagoville on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. on the home field.

Mansfield Summit High School
The Jaguars fell to Timberview on Friday night, 48-31. Sophomore Derek Johnson rushed for 210 yards and four touchdowns in the loss. Summit is now 6-4 overall with a 5-2 district record. They take on Spruce on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at home.

Mansfield Lake Ridge High School
The Eagles defeated Seguin on Thursday night, 38-19. Junior Duke Carter rushed for 128 yards and four touchdowns. Deondre Jones added a score on the ground in addition to 5 carries for 60 yards. They clinched their first postseason berth in school history with the win. Lake Ridge faces off against Kimball on the road on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Overall, the team is 6-4 with a 4-3 district record.
