Mansfield High School
The Tigers finished the season with a 7-4 record. They went 4-2 in the district.
Mansfield Legacy High School
The Broncos finished the season at 4-6 overall with a 2-5 district record.
Mansfield Timberview High School
The Wolves were defeated by Ennis, 17-13, on Friday night. Timberview trailed 10-6 through the first three quarters and took a 13-10 lead with just two minutes to go in the game on a Daniel Ramos 14-yard touchdown run. Ennis' Thompson Taylor took the ball in seconds later on a 74-yard score. The Wolves couldn't recover on the following four downs. Ennis faces The Colony in the regional round on Friday night.
Timberview ends its season with a 10-2 record. They were undefeated in the district with a 7-0 record.
Mansfield Summit High School
The Jaguars lost to Tyler, 44-27, on Friday night. They were shut out in both the first and fourth quarters of the game. Jaguar scorers included senior quarterback Burrell Taylor, junior quarterback Lane Schwab, junior halfback Fred Adams (2), junior wide receiver Jordan Lawson. Kicker Josue Munoz went 3-for-4 on extra points. Tyler faces Rockwall-Heath in regional playoff action on Friday afternoon.
Summit's season comes to a close with the loss. The school's season record is 7-5 (5-2 in the district).
Mansfield Lake Ridge High School
The Eagles advance in the playoffs once again with a 37-35 win over Longview on Saturday evening. They jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, and held that lead into the half, 23-21. Each team scored a touchdown in the two final frames, giving Lake Ridge the advantage and the win. They face McKinney North in the regional round of the postseason on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Kincaide Stadium in Dallas.
The Eagles are 8-4 this season and 4-3 in the district in the school's first-ever playoff run.
