Multi-cultural Festival Returns to MISD for Third Year

MISD Multi-cultural Festival 2013.

Mansfield ISD's third annual Multi-cultural Festival will be at the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you haven't come to this district wide event in the past, you may be asking yourself, "What in tarnation is a Multi-Cultural Festival and why does MISD have one?”  Did you know that our school district has over 100 different languages spoken?  Did you know that MISD has over 33,000 students that live in areas covering almost 95 square miles Mansfield, Arlington, Grand Prairie, and Burleson?... That is a lot of diversity!

The Multi-Cultural Festival gives MISD the opportunity to highlight many of the cultures represented in our district through performances, food, and fun activities. The district will also take this opportunity to showcase many of our points of pride, such as Athletics, Fine Arts, Special Ed, Robotics, Culinary Arts and Advanced Academics.
