Mansfield's annual Winter Walk event this past January was a special one, kicking off the festivities for Mansfield 125 - a celebration of the city's 125th birthday. At the event, little signs were spread throughout the course. Each sign had a fact or key figure related to Mansfield's history.
You can still see these signs throughout the year.
According to the city's official website, thiecommunity-wide walk began as the inaugural event to open the Walnut Creek Linear Park trail in 2006. It has continued each January with participants walking the trail as a community, celebrating the city’s award-winning park system, and focusing attention on health and wellness. The walk along the linear park trail ends at Town Park with a health fair and family activities.
