Fuzzy's Taco Shop Founder/President Chuck Bush (center) and others hold $20,000 from October 2014 charity golf fundraiser.

Fuzzy's Taco Shop raised almost $3,200 more than its 2014 campaign as a part of a philanthropy effort, donating funds to A Wish With Wings. The campaign, known as Cups for Kids, raised $24,313 this spring across Fuzzy's 34 locations. The Mansfield store participated.

This comes on top of the $20,000 just raised for A Wish With Wings in October 2014 through Fuzzy's Taco Shop's annual benefit golf tournament.

The campaign took place through the entire month of March, with every souvenir drink cup sold at participating locations, 25 cents per cup will go to the charity A Wish With Wings. The organization "grants magical wishes to children with life-threatening conditions."

Over the last six years, Fuzzy's Taco Shop's annual souvenir cup campaign has donated more than $89,000 to A Wish With Wings. Participating DFW-area Fuzzy's Taco Shops include locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield, Denton, Euless, Grapevine, Southlake, Lewisville and Waxahachie.

"This year's souvenir cup sports the three words that best define our brand: 'Fresh, Fast, Fun'," said Fuzzy's Taco Shop Founder and President Chuck Bush, who is on A Wish With Wings' board of directors.  On the other side of the souvenir cup is the company logo, and the cup comes with soft drinks/ ice tea priced at $1.99 - $2.29. Diners can return to any Fuzzy's Taco Shop with their souvenir cup and refill it for only $1.

Bush continued, "A Wish With Wings is an upstanding organization that is making a big difference in the lives of Texas children. We are honored to be affiliated with these folks, and hope this year's souvenir cup campaign is our biggest to date."

Bush said Fuzzy's sought a charity that helped local kids in 2009 and found A Wish With Wings. After driving to their office, Bush met with some representatives and saw the money they received was truly helping children and their families.

"Transparency was a must," he said. "They were doing some awesome work and they continue to do so. A Wish With Wings is an outstanding organization that is making a difference in the lives of local children. We consider it a privilege to be affiliated with these folks, and are happy to help them in any way we can."

Judy Youngs, executive director of A Wish With Wings, said the organization is grateful for the support.

"...not only through the annual Cups for Kids campaign, but the golf tournament and all the many ways they offer support throughout the year," she said. "Chuck is a great addition to our board of directors. His business acumen, coupled with a sincere passion for helping kids, is unparalleled. We couldn't ask for better corporate partners than Fuzzy's Taco Shop!"

Fuzzy's Taco Shop
was recently named to website and mobile app Urbanspoon's annual list of Top American Eateries for Cheap Eats, and was named one of Entrepreneur magazine's Top 10 New Franchises for 2014. Plans for expansion and growth continue.

"Over the next few years we plan to continue to carefully expand outside of Texas," Bush said. "In fact we'll soon be announcing our first-ever locations in Florida. I believe our success thus far is a result of lots of hard work, great franchisee relations, providing a great product, and taking care of our guests, every shift, every day. And lots of ice-cold beer!"
