7 Tech Students Head to California for National Competition in May

Mansfield ISD reported a group of Mansfield ISD students are preparing for the Business Professionals of America (BPA) national competition after finishing in high ranks at the state level.

March 24 article lists 7 district students who will be advancing to the national competition in Anaheim, California from May 6 through May 10. More than 3,500 students from all over the state of Texas competed, and seven MISD students placed in top positions. 

Students include Jesse Mitchell (C++, computer programming concepts, software engineering team), Joey Leavell (computer programming concepts, java, software engineering team), Stuart Helm (PC servicing and troubleshooting, software engineering team), and Ethan Wikoff, Sam Speece, Alana Lewis, Shane McBride (all software engineering team).

BPA is an organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields.
