MISD Opens Summer Program to Feed the Community

Jun 04, 2015 05:19PM ● Published by Kevin

Mansfield ISD Student Nutrition Services is excited to introduce a new summer feeding program starting June 10 that will benefit the whole community.

The Seamless Summer Option, funded through a federal grant, allows the district to continue normal breakfast and lunch service over the summer to any child 18 years and younger completely free of charge--even if they aren't enrolled in MISD summer programs!

The free nutritious meals will include protein, grains, fruit, vegetables and milk. All children must select a fruit and/or vegetable, and all meals must be eaten on site. Adult meals are available for $3.50. View the menu here.
