MISD congratulated all of its graduates and gave special recognition to the students who ranked first (valedictorian) or second (salutatorian) in their 2015 high school class in a recent newsletter. They are:

  • MISD honored the 60 seniors in the district with the highest grade point averages. The Top 60 Academic Banquet featured each of the scholars, but also highlighted the teacher who had the most impact in the student's life.  Read more about this formal ceremony »
  • Two Frontier High School seniors already have a college degree! Yesenia Day and Jaeidah Reed will be graduating with a diploma and an associate's degree.  More about how they did it »
  • Timberview High School seniors Sabrina Gonzales and Peyton Sennet are 2015 Dell Scholars. The $20,000 scholarship is given to only 300 students in the nation each year. Dell scholars have a different kind of GPA to live up to: grit, potential, and ambition. More about their journey to success »
  • Legacy High School senior Brady Moore and Timberview High School senior Lizzy Hennessey won generous scholarships in a very competitive field. Watch to see how the students earned them »
  • A special breakfast was held for recipients of scholarships through MISD's Multi-Scholarship Program. Altogether, the program awarded 107 scholarships totaling $103,350!
