Mansfield ISD School Board Secretary Karen Marcucci recently received the designation of a Master Trustee—the highest recognition the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) offers through its Leadership TASB program.
Leadership TASB is designed to take experienced board members to a new level of service and leadership by exposing them to a variety of issues, people, activities, and locations.
The year-long program is composed of multiple training sessions among a network of Texas school district leaders who work together to enhance school governance.
The graduation ceremony was held Friday, June 19 in Fort Worth, and Superintendent Dr. Jim Vaszauskas was proud to be in attendance.
“Karen has a true passion for her community and Mansfield ISD students and parents,” said Dr. Vaszauskas. “It was an honor for me to be able to celebrate this accomplishment with her because I know the commitment she has in her role as a School Board Trustee, and I know how hard she worked to complete the requirements in becoming a Master Trustee.”
Marcucci was appointed as School Board Trustee in May 2013.
