Jett Duffey interviews with Scout.com.
Scout gave him the opportunity to talk about his accomplishments, as well as his role in bringing in fellow Texan and four-star recruit T.J. Vasher, who played wide receiver at Rider. Vasher committed to Texas Tech on June 5 as a junior. He still has one season to go after catching 67 passes for 993 yards and 12 touchdowns last year.
"Big kid, he’s a great guy," Duffey said. "I’ve been talking to him for a while, telling him Lubbock is the place to be. We want to win and we’re going to try to go up there and win. He was one of the main ones I’ve been talking to."
Duffey will hope to take over as the offensive leader on the field, with Vasher potentially playing an integral part. He'll need to be prepared to work, as Tech throws the ball 40-50 times per game.
"That’s what quarterbacks do," he said. "They put the ball in their hands and deliver it. So that was a big part."
