Outdoor Meetups Continue in June

Jul 08, 2015 04:50PM ● By Dawn Craig

Around Arlington Meetup attended two free outdoor concerts in June. Members enjoyed Satisfaction, a Rolling Stones tribute band in Irving and the Glenn Miller Orchestra at Levitt Pavilion. Weather was cooperative for the annual Car & Bike Show outdoors at the Grand Prairie Farmer’s Market. One of our members even entered his antique Corvette! Plus we enjoyed a great night at a free family-friendly Airhogs baseball game at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie.

A few of our June events were indoors too. A group of us attended two new movies at the Six Flags Cinemark Tinseltown: San Andreas and Jurassic Park 3D. And danced the night away at Studio 80 in Fort Worth. We enjoyed two happy hours – First Tuesday at Blue Mesa, and a big one-year Cancer Free Celebration at The Grease Monkey. Fundraising efforts for Team Covert continue on our calendar each month. We wrapped up the month with our Pinterest series: Sipping Wine and Doodling with Sharpies. The mugs turned out great!

Several of our members promoted their business while others enjoyed the food and fashions at a Free Homebuyers Workshop, CAbi Women’s Fashion Party, Women, Wealth, and Wellnes of DFW,  and a monthly  Free Dinner & Money Workshop.
