July-August 2015 Issue - School's in Session

Jul 21, 2015 03:53AM ● By Kevin
It's always amazing to see how quickly we jump to the next phase or season of the year. "Christmas in July," or "Back to School Sales" starting before the official beginning of summer ... We're constantly on the move! Regardless, we here at Mansfield Magazine, just like many of our readers out there, are preparing to get back to the grind and leave the summer behind in our memories.

In our July-August issue, we've got tons of tips specifically centered around our kids. To start, we feature the Friends of the Mansfield Public Library in our community spotlight. This volunteer organization helps the library be its very best to help support not only our kids but our community the effort for more involvement and reading advocacy.

Carol Ritchie comes back with another installment of Cookin' With Carol, this time helping us whip up a perfect "care package" for our college-aged kids. Nothing says "love and miss you" like a little taste from home!

Speaking of college, Laurie Fox writes about first-timers and the adjustment to life on their own. It's a great read from our HomeStyle section!

We also have some special health & wellness and lawn & garden tips from area experts. Your mouth will water when you read our Local Flavor piece this month, highlighting Mo's Best Eatery.

Finally, Your Neighbor focuses on an area resident who volunteers his time alongside his therapy dog to bring joy throughout the Metroplex.

All of this, plus some great online-exclusive content to tide you over until the next edition of Mansfield Magazine!

Browse around for articles and information on everything you need to know about the local community and let us know what you’d like to see more of!
