The Mansfield ISD Board of Trustees approved 2015-2016 salary increases for all MISD employees, according to an email announcement by the district Wednesday afternoon. Information below is provided by the district:

For teachers, librarians, and registered nurses, each step on the salary matrix has been increased by 3 percent.  Employees will move up one step on the compensation matrix to correspond with years of service completed.

In addition, first-year teachers, librarians, and registered nurses will now have a minimum salary of $53,000.

All other employees will receive an increase of 3 percent of the midpoint for their assigned pay grade.

Employee stipends have also been increased by 3 percent.

“We believe that the approved salary increases will enable Mansfield ISD to continue recruiting and retaining faculty and staff who are devoted to providing excellent educational services to our students,” said Karen Wentworth, Associate Superintendent of Human Resource Services.

The 2015-16 compensation plan was approved at the Called School Board Meeting on August 4. Consideration to approve the 2015-16 annual budget will take place at the Regular School Board Meeting on Tuesday, August 25.
