Mansfield native Clint Torres, who was driving a tractor-trailer in Hugo, Colo., was killed in a 4-vehicle accident last Wednesday evening, according to the Denver Post.

Torres, 30, was one of two men who died in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A number of cattle were also killed, according to the story, which was most recently updated Sunday night.

The accident was described as a "chain reaction," and happened on U.S. 40, just east of Hugo. The other man who died, Duane Olsen, 60, was in the wrong lane of traffic, according to state police. Two other men were involved in the accident; Joshua Ramirez, 29 of Kansas, was hospitalized with minor injuries and, Jorge Moya, 43 of Miami, unharmed.

"When the accident happened, three semis were going east on U.S. 40, approaching Olson," the article says. "The first collision happened at 4:52 p.m. when Olson, going westbound, veered into the eastbound lane and sideswiped the semis driven by Ramirez and Moya.

"Olson then collided head-on with Torres' semi.

"All four semis remained upright, with Olson's truck coming to rest on the north side of the road and the other trucks on the south side.

"Reid said he does not know how many cattle were injured or killed or which truck they were in at the time of the collision."

Police said the investigation is ongoing with no end in sight. For the full story, click here.
