UTSA men's golf head coach John Knauer announced Friday that he has signed Collin Clark (Mansfield, Texas/Mansfield High School) to a National Letter of Intent. Clark will join the Roadrunners beginning with the 2016-17 season, according to the school's athletic website.
"We are very excited to add these three players to our stable,” Knauer said in the story. “As an All-American at McLennan, Cory Donnell will bring top-notch experience to our squad. Both Collin and Adam are very talented high school players who have won numerous tournaments. We feel blessed that they chose our program over the other schools that courted them. I expect all three players to make an immediate impact next year. The future is very bright at UTSA.”
Clark was an all-region and all-district performer at Mansfield High School. He helped lead the Tigers to a sixth-place finish at the 2015 Class 6A State Tournament. He shot a 72-73—145 to finish 11th and help Mansfield to third place at the regional tournament, was a district medalist as a freshman and 2015 U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier.
