Citizens Police Academy Offers April Training Programs

Have you ever been interested in serving your community through volunteer work? The Citizens Police Academy (CPA) offers a 2-day training program for anyone interested in learning more about law enforcement procedures.
The Arlington Citizens Police Academy is for citizens of all backgrounds and occupations. This program is offered as a public service and free of charge. The CPA is a part of ongoing efforts to develop citizen awareness and public understanding of law enforcement.This 16-hour training program includes both classroom and “hands-on” instruction. Training topics include: Community Policing, 911 Communications, SWAT, Traffic Enforcement/Radar, Gang Unit, Jail Operations, Critical Incident, Procedural Justice, Auto Theft, Use of Force/Defensive Tactics, Accident Investigation and more.
The next CPA 2-day training opportunity is scheduled for Monday April 25th and Tuesday April, 26th 8am-5pm on both days. Space is limited so be sure to register as soon as possible.
