There are several programs this year working to help MISD children and families have access to healthy meals, as seen in our previous article Common Ground Network is Working to Help MISD Under-Resourced Families.
The Mansfield ISD Student Nutrition Department is excited to welcome back a free summer feeding program, starting June 8, that will benefit the whole community.
The Seamless Summer Option, supported by federal funds, allows the district to continue normal breakfast and lunch service over the summer to any child 18 years and younger completely free of charge! The child does not have to attend MISD to participate.
The free nutritious meals will include protein, grains, fruit, vegetables and milk. All children must select a fruit and/or vegetable, and all meals must be eaten on site. Adult meals are available for $3.50. View the menu here.

For more information, contact MISD Student Nutrition Services at 817-299-6040.
Feed the Kids for Summer - Different locations around Mansfield and Arlington will be open during June 1 through August 24 to make sure students on free or reduced lunch continue to get fed in the summer months. Location and times may vary (Saturday times are available).
