Mansfield ISD's inaugural Back-to-School Bash was held on Saturday, Aug. 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and featured fun activities and free services for MISD students.

There were approximately 15,000 attendees at the Back-to-School Bash and more than 200 volunteers. More than 200 haircuts were given, and 4,500 backpacks filled with school supplies were given to Mansfield ISD families.

The event is designed to bring the community together for a day of family fun.

In addition to the various activities and games, there was school supplies, student health services, and more—provided completely free of charge to Mansfield ISD students. Food trucks and bounce houses were also available on site.

The community event featured a special appearance by David and Tamela Mann!

The duo are award-winning gospel artists, national speakers, and stars of two hit reality shows.

The Stuff the Bus Campaign is the community fundraiser to raises funds for the school supplies that were distributed at the back-to-school bash.

At the back-to-school bash, free health services were provided to students. The services included: hearing screenings, vision screenings, dental checks, and other health resources.

Community groups and businesses occupied booths at the back-to-school bash, providing pertinent services, products, and information to attendees.

The types of booths at the bash included free haircuts and hair styling, nutrition and exercise information, after-school services, etc.

This will be an opportunity for parents/guardians and students to meet with the campuses they will be attending. Each campus will be available with a fun activity to interact with our MISD families.

Congratulations on another successful year!
