We were interested in the season way before they went so far into the playoff season. They had an outstanding Winter Break, and showed a lot of promise. We decided to reach out to their coach, Kit Martin, to learn a little bit more about their exciting and successful season.
Below are a few questions we asked earlier this year, before they reached their 37-3 season and undefeated home reign.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. Did you also play basketball in high school? How long have you been with the Timberview girls?
This is my fifth year at Timberview High School. I played basketball, ran track and cross country and was in the band at Carthage High School, then went to the University of North Texas where I played basketball to received my degree.
Tell us a little bit about this season. How have the Timberview girls been doing?
We have been fortunate to have had a lot of success this year at 27-2 currently. This comes on the heels of a 33-1 season last year. Are there any players that are having a standout season?
Also playing great on the interior for us this year, Lauryn Thompson, 6'0" junior, is averaging 10.2 ppg and 6 boards per game.
Are any players moving on to play in colleges next year?
So far, Chennedy Carter has signed with Texas A&M. Taylah Thomas, Trelynn Tyler and Jaryanna Ward are all getting college looks as seniors and hope to sign in the April signing period.
What has been one of the most memorable moments this year so far?
How can we stay updated?
