Cafe Sicilia's Mixed Berries & Orange Mascarpone Cream

Cafe Sicilia shares a yet another tasty recipe with us. This time enjoy the perfect summer cool down recipe for Mixed Berries and Orange Mascarpone Cream.

Mixed Berries and Orange Mascarpone Cream


Macerated Berries

3 cups mixed berries of your choice
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 tablespoons Grand Marnier liqueur
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
1 tablespoon sugar


Combine all the ingredients except the berries. Stir well. Add the berries and stir gently. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. 

Orange Mascarpone Cream


5 oz mascarpone cheese, chilled
1 cup heavy cream, chilled
2 teaspoons finely grated orange zest
2 teaspoons freshly squeezed orange juice
2 teaspoons Grand Marnier liqueur
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 tablespoon sugar (or more to taste)


Combine mascarpone and cream in the bowl of an electric mixer. Beat until traces of the whisk are visible. Add remaining ingredients and whisk until soft peaks form. The mascarpone cream may be refrigerated for up to four hours.

To Serve:

Place a big spoon full of the mascarpone in a martini glass. Top with berries and some of the berry juice. Top with more mascarpone cream.

Decorate as desired.
