On August 19th, Mansfield city leaders held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Clayton W. Chandler Park.
The park has been closed for most of this year for a massive $3.4mil renovation. This renovation includes 7 acres of community-friendly activity options, such as tennis, basketball and sand volleyball courts. It also includes two new playgrounds, a walking trail with fitness equipment, a half-acre fishing pond.
To top it all off, there is now the city’s first-ever skateboarding plaza AND first public splash pad. The park, which is named for the longtime and current city manager Clayton Chandler, is sure to become the city’s newest favorite destination.
