Every October, the KPFFA comes up with a t-shirt design to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to Ryan Florence, President of the Kennedale Firefighters Association, they create the design "to the best of our ability." They then purchase a certain number of shirts to sell to whomever is interested.
All proceeds from the shirts goes to a different cancer organization each year. "This year we decided on The American Cancer Society," Florence told us. "We have never had a huge demand for these shirts, but even if we do not recoup our cost for the shirts we will donate a minimum of $250 to that organization."
Right now, shirts that are available are medium, large and extra-large.
Shirts are $15 each or 2 for $25, and can be purchased at the Fire Station (100 Cloverlane Drive).
