Gabby Malkomes is a five-year-old Mansfield resident that is currently in the running to win a $30,000 makeover for her school cafeteria. How can she do this, you ask? Through a cooking competition, of course!

Malkomes is a student at the Martha Reid Leadership Academy. She also has Down Syndrome, but that doesn't stop her from being known for her infectious smile.

Ben’s Beginners cooking photo contest is all about the winning photo, and anyone can vote! Malkomes' mother entered her into the contest with high hopes that she will win. November 6th is the last day to vote.

According to the blog Your Mansfield ISD, "The top five winners will receive a $15,000 check and an additional $30,000 check to be used toward a cafeteria makeover for the child’s school. Winners are determined based on public votes, creativity, presentation of dish and appetite appeal."

Enter now here and help Malkomes win!

Public voting is open through Nov. 6. Grand prize winners will be announced in December.
