The University Interscholastic League (UIL) Announces Realignments for 2020-2022 Seasons
The University Interscholastic League (UIL) announced district realignments for Texas high school athletics programs for the 2020-2022 seasons. The realignments for Mansfield are as follows:
Summit High School moves to Class 5A with Legacy High School. Their District 4 opponents are Burleson Centennial, Colleyville Heritage, Midlothian, Birdville, Richland and Red Oak.
Timberview High School remains in Class 5A, but is now in Division 2. They will play in District 5 against Aledo, Arlington Seguin, Burleson, Cleburne, Everman, Joshua and Waco University.
The Class 6A cutoff for 2020-22 was set at a student enrollment of 2,220 or more. Class 5A’s cutoff was set at an enrollment of 1,230 to 2,219 students.
