Newborn Twins Set Record at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center
A set of Midlothian babies surprised their parents by tipping the scales and being among the biggest twins on record at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. Andee Grace Stokes and Baylee Sue Stokes weighed in at a combined 18 lbs. 3 ounces and 43.5 inches shortly before 1 p.m. today.
Andee Grace emerged first at a healthy 9 pounds, 1 ounce and 22 inches. But one-minute-later sister, Baylee Sue, dominated the womb at 9 pounds, 2 ounces and 21.5 inches. Robert and Stephenie Stokes of Midlothian were thrilled to welcome their six and seventh child into their family. The twins were delivered by Paul Daum, MD.
Robert is the director of IT at GIS Topographic Inc. and Stephenie is director of children’s ministry at Oak Crest Baptist Church in Midlothian.
The new parents received new baby books, to help Andee and Baylee get a head start on reading as part of the Read to Me Program. All babies born at Methodist Mansfield receive a new baby book provided by Methodist Mansfield, Mansfield Sunrise Rotary and Mansfield ISD.
