Alex Cuba at the Levitt Pavilion
Three-time Latin Grammy winner, Alex Cuba, has been performing since he was 4, when he appeared on Cuban TV with his father, a respected guitarist and teacher. Alex's sugarcane-sweet melodies, pop-soul hooks and powerful guitar riffs, break the conventional stereotype that exemplifies much of the Latin music landscape. Alex took home the award for Best New Artist at the 2010 Latin Grammy Awards. He also was nominated for Best Latin Pop Album at the 2011 Grammy Awards, and that same year, took home a BMI Latin Award for his songwriting on Nelly Furtado's number one Spanish hit, "Manos Al Aire." His fourth album in 2012 earned him a second Latin Grammy Award, this time as a songwriter, and in 2013, he walked away with a third Latin Grammy for a video. His 8 p.m. concert is sponsored by the Arlington Cultural Tourism Council.
