Fall is the best time of the year to plant in north central Texas! Come to the Botanic Garden’s fall plant sale and stock up on plants that do well in our area. Choose from a wide assortment of trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, perennials, vines, winter annuals, and spring-flowering bulbs. The sale also features a wide assortment of citrus, other fruit trees, and small fruits. In addition, rose, African violet, begonia, iris, daylily, and cactus & succulent societies will be selling their plants. Other vendors will be selling garden-related merchandise as well. Garden staff will be on site to answer your plant questions. Due to a limited number of carts for hauling plants at the sale, please bring your own cart or wagon. DATE & TIME: Friday, October 6, 2:00-6:30 P.M. Saturday, October 7, 9:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. Plant enthusiasts may attend preview classes on October 2, 3, and 4 at 6:00 P.M. in the classroom of the conservation greenhouse at 3408 West Freeway (I-30 access road just east of Montgomery Street). Learn about the plants featured in the fall plant sale by attending this PowerPoint presentation taught by Garden staff. Fee is $15, which can be applied toward purchases at the plant sale.
