Fall Veggies are Fun: Fall Gardening Series
City Horticulturist Susan Henson returns to the Main Library for her free, 3-part gardening series. This series is made possible by the Parks, Arts & Rec Dept.
- September 12: Fall Veggies Are Fun Summer is over and the heat is fading so gardening can be more fun than ever! Want to grow brussel sprouts, broccoli, cabbage or some fall tomatoes? Join us to find out how when the heat is gone gardening becomes enjoyable. Remember less heat, watering and weeds!
- September 19: From the Foundation Up How is your curb appeal? Want to make your home stand out from the rest, increase your property value and find the front door? Attending this class will help you find out how to design the landscape around the foundation of your home.
- September 26: Tucking the Landscape in for Winter The key to a good spring green up is all in the fall maintenance. Let’s take the mystery out of fall pruning, fertilizing and weed control. Learn the correct way to put the landscape to bed for the winter and make it shine in the spring.
