Bike Out Hunger

Bike Out Hunger is riding again in Mansfield to feed our hungry neighbors. You love riding and you know you should do some things for those in need. This year’s ride will help fund the weekend backpack feeding program in Mansfield. The children on the reduced or free lunch program during the school week often go hungry over the weekend. In fact, some school districts have nicknamed Monday “throw-up Monday” due to the number of children who come to school so hungry, they make themselves sick eating too much breakfast. We can help end that. Ride info: September 13 at 8 am $35 entry fee online or in person day of (donations above certainly accepted) 20, 40, 60 and 100 mile route options leaving from Lifetime Fitness at 1551 E Debbie Lane. Routes in Map My Ride: (Updated 8/25/14) 20-miler: 40-miler: 60-miler: 100-miler: (slight update on 9/8) For you: multiple route distances with increased number of water/drink stations, quality t-shirt, surprisingly good food and drink after the ride; free Bike Out Hunger stuff to those who beat a time on a designated stretch in Strava on ride day; for same stretch the best overall time gets free Bike Out Hunger – Texas 2015 entry ($330 value) and the satisfaction of feeding hungry kids. For the community: Providing food for kids in the Mansfield area who often don’t have food over the weekend when school lunches aren’t available.
