Back-to-School Bash 2016

Mansfield ISD is hosting its inaugural back-to-school bash to kick off the 2016-17 school year. The bash will be held on Saturday, August 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts (1110 W Debbie Lane, Mansfield, Texas 76063). This is a community event you will not want to miss to kick off the new school year. Everything from the games to the health services and school supplies are completely free for Mansfield ISD students. There will also be special appearances by David and Tamela Mann and some retired NFL players. The bash consists of four main components: *Please note the update to the immunizations. Stuff the Bus Campaign - an initiative to give away 5,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to MISD students. Backpacks will be given away at Ben Barber Career & Technology Academy (across the parking lot from the MISD Center for the Performing Arts) on a first come, first serve basis, and no registration is required. (Limit: four per family.) Health Services - free health services will be provided to MISD students. (UPDATE: a limited supply of immunizations will be available. Please bring your child’s shot records to take part in this free service. Other free health services, such as physicals, dental checks and vision screenings, will also be provided.) Vendor Booths - community groups and businesses will provide services and information to attendees, including free haircuts for MISD students. Registration for vendor booths is closed. Campus Activities - each MISD campus and department will be represented to provide fun and interactive activities. View more details about MISD Back-to-School Bash 2016 at
