Lisa Drake is owner and publisher of Mansfield Magazine, the bi-monthly lifestyle publication for the residents of Mansfield and surrounding communities. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Oklahoma State University. Lisa’s experience in the marketing and advertising field includes employment as the Classified Advertising Manager at the Stillwater News-Press in Stillwater, OK, the Advertising Director and Trade Show Manager for the National Independent Auto Dealers Association in Arlington, TX as well as working to launch two other automotive-related trade publications. Lisa is married to her husband Greg and she has three sons, one daughter and four grandchildren.

Lisa has served on the Executive Board for the Mansfield ISD Education Foundation, and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the Women’s Division of the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and as the Vice President for Discover Historic Mansfield, Inc.

Kerry Pipes is editor of Mansfield Magazine, the bi-monthly lifestyle publication for the residents of Mansfield and surrounding communities. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Abilene Christian University and a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Texas Tech University. He has logged more than 18 years as a professional journalist covering a wide range of business marketing and management issues within the franchising and retail automobile industries. Additionally, his writing has been published in Entrepreneur Magazine, Success Magazine, Bloomberg News, Car & Driver Magazine, Used Car Dealer Magazine, Communications News, and the Orlando Sentinel.

Kerry is married to Beth and they have two daughters. 

He loves spending time outdoors camping, fishing and hiking and loves traveling to tropical destinations, when time and money allow.

Tim Bedison is creative director at Mansfield Magazine. Throughout his career he has worked in virtually every aspect of the creative process, from illustrator to cartoonist — from senior graphics editor to creative director. He began his graphic design/illustration business in 1988 and over the past 20-plus years has worked for various clients including JC Penney, the Dallas Mavericks and Doc Martens. Tim spent 13 years as senior graphics editor creating news graphics and cartoons at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and 5 years as an editorial artist at The Dallas Morning News.

His weekly comic panel, Southpaw, was in syndication for over four years and won the prestigious SNA competition for best editorial cartoon in 1991 and 1992. Years later he created the largely popular comic strip Hock, Stock and Barrel for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Steve Huddleston is senior horticulturist at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden where he helps manage the 109-acre garden. He gives a weekly report on Neil Sperry’s lawn and garden show on radio station WBAP and writes for Neil Sperry’s GARDENS magazine. Steve is also president of Blooming Concepts, Inc., a landscape consultation, design, and installation company, and co-author of the book, Easy Gardens for North Central Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Arizona. Steve is married to Penny, and they have three children. Steve enjoys working in the yard, physical fitness, studying German, and working with youth and teaching English as a second language at his church.

Carol Ritchie is the Food and Wine Expert for Mansfield Magazine. Carol is a traveling cooking instructor (for over 20 years) and host of a cable TV cooking show Cookin’ with Carol—a 2001 James Beard Award Nominee for “Best Local Television Cooking Show”—which has featured notable guests such as Julia Child, Martin Yan, Jacques Pepin, and Paula Deen. Carol is also a recipe developer, culinary consultant, and spokesperson, appearing on CBS Chef on a Shoestring, PBS Healthweek, QVC Shopping Network, and Cooking Live! on the Food Network. Many of her recipes are available on her website at When she manages to find spare time, Carol enjoys falling asleep attempting to watch movies at home with her husband and three dogs.
